Baltimore Bike Tour #3: The Jones Falls Trail
Tour # 3 The Jones Falls Trail and Cityscapes – mostly street riding, with healthy climbs and the best views of the city.
This rather invigorating and ambitious 16 mile ride includes some climbing and great views of the City. We bike past City Hall and up the Jones Fall Trail to Druid Hill Park ( one of the oldest landscaped urban parks in the country) to see Druid Park Lake, the Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens, the overlook from the base of the park’s Moorish tower, and some druids (or, at least, some druid-like statues). On our return, we can see the Prince Hall Masonic Temple, the Francis Scott Key Monument, the Bromo-Seltzer Arts Tower, Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Ravens’ Stadium. Neighborhoods visited include Reservoir Hill, Bolton Hill, Station North, Seton Hill, Otterbein, Sharp-Leadenahll, and Downtown.
